Power to Make offers CNC cutting services using our 3-axis CNC router and 7-axis Robotic milling. The CNC machine can cut a standard panel size of 8 x 4 feet or 1220 x 2440mm up to 50mm thick. It can perform operations of profiling, pocketing, hole pocketing, chamfering, edge filleting, engraving and 3D surface milling. To avoid us having to pre-process your CAD files (and to make it cheaper for you) please ensure you follow the below guidelines.
If you do not have the resource to prepare CAD files we can provide this service for you.
You can submit scanned sketches with dimensions for instance; we would draw the shapes for you and return as PDF for your approval. Please contact us to
discuss your requirements.
To avoid us having to pre-process your CAD files (and to make it cheaper for you) please ensure you follow the above guidelines. We can accept most standard CAD file formats in .dwg .dxf and .3dm. The model should be in millimeters, at 1:1 scale. All shapes for cutting must be drawn within a rectangle that matches the size of the sheet material. This is usually 2400mm x 1200mm or 2440mm x 1220mm depending on its source. The sheet should be in landscape orientation with the bottom left corner at the x-y origin (0,0,0 coordinates). Please use the template below to start and send us your files here.
Our machine accepts sheet material up to 2440mm x 1220mm. We stock FSC certified quality birch plywood of various thicknesses which is ideal for furniture making due to its quality, strength and consistency. Our machine is able to cut sheet materials including plastics, timbers, and composites.
If you have a particular material in mind, please contact us to enquire first. We can source a variety of sheet materials through our suppliers. Stock availability is usually the next day, but we will advise you of potential delays. Alternatively, you may source your own material for delivery to our workshop.
