Parametric Consultation

We work with architects, designers and contractors to develop concept designs into realisable solution; from digital modelling through to physical prototyping processes and fabrication information. Our unique skills in computational and parametric design coupled with many years of experience in architectural detailing, allow us to develop simple and elegant solutions to complex geometric problems both digitally and through physical making. Embodied with our deep knowledge in CNC technology and tools, we can provide expert advice in design solutions and manufacturing techniques which introduce efficiency in materials, fabrication and cost.

What service do we provide?

Custom parametric model – We can develop custom parametric models for architects and designers to manipulate and adjust the design geometry with ease. We will take your concept design and coupled it with construction logic to produce feasible solutions. Immediate model output can include material quantities for costing.

Fabrication information – Once the design is finalised, we will take the model and generate fabrication information and setting out information that can be tailored to a fabricator and constructor’s requirement.

Prototyping – We often develop prototypes concurrently with the design process to allow architects and designers to check their design and ensure all aspect of detail is well considered. Any adjustment can then be feed back into the parametric model.

Depending on the stage of work, we are often employed directly by the client as consultant or novated to contractor post-tender.

Why use us?

We are trained as architects and have over 25 years of combined detailing experience from façade design through to interior joinery and ceiling packages.

All our team have unique training in CNC fabrication and computational design which means that we are not overwhelmed by complexity. We thrive in developing simple solutions to complex problems which often results in cost savings, reduced fabrication and on-site assembly time.

We operate our own CNC milling machine with a large wood workshop. This allows us to develop large scale prototypes as part of the development stage. We can give you an accurate bill of quantities and advise on manufacturing cost.
